The 2026 season is here. The Bears return to the field with their sights set on the Super Bowl, and those of us who follow the team are more connected than ever.

For us, this kickoff carries special meaning: FanaticOSOS begins its tenth season following the Chicago Bears.

It has been ten seasons alongside a team that has brought us moments of joy, plenty of entertainment, and more than a few bitter pills to swallow. Through it all, the FanaticOSOS community has remained here: sharing opinions, debating, and trying to understand what happens both inside and outside the franchise.

Our opinions have been strong, controversial, and often at odds. But they have always been honest.

More than recording every week

Keeping this project going has not been easy. It is not only about the time and resources invested in preparing, recording, and publishing every week. We have also had countless disagreements, both among those directly involved in the show and with those who listen and follow us.

Over the years, we have lived through full-blown civil wars across Bears fandom, in both English and Spanish. We have debated Jay Cutler, Mitchell Trubisky, Justin Fields, and now Caleb Williams. Each one inspired passionate defenses, relentless criticism, and positions that sometimes seemed impossible to reconcile.

That is the nature of fandom: we can watch the same play, the same player, and the same game, yet come away telling completely different stories.

FanaticOSOS has never expected everyone to agree. The goal has always been to create a space where we can prepare, stay informed, and break down everything Bears together.

The friendships we found along the way

The most valuable part of these ten seasons is not found in statistics, correct predictions, or arguments won. It is found in the people we have met along the way.

FanaticOSOS helped us form lasting friendships with people who left a personal mark, contributed to our growth, and transformed a football project into something much deeper.

It would be unfair to name names because we would inevitably leave out someone important. But if you are reading this column, have listened to one of our shows, shared a post, debated with us, or defended an opposing view, you are part of this story.

Together, we built an independent cyber-community—imperfect and deeply our own. It became a place where friendships grew beyond screens, social media, and the outcome of each Sunday’s game.

Always there for one another

Many of the people I met through this project comforted and supported me during difficult moments. I have been both a guest and a host. We have shared bread, wine, defeats, and victories.

We have gotten to know one another beyond the microphone and have always tried to support the people beside us.

Together, we formed this self-described group, Fanatic-OSOS: Bears fans united by a shared passion, even if we do not always share the same opinion.

This conversation belongs to you, too

We want to thank those who have supported us unconditionally, but also those who walked away disappointed, those who see things differently, and those who once felt such a strong need to respond that they ended up yelling at a screen.

The doors remain open.

We invite you to participate, talk, and debate with us. We cannot promise that we will agree. In fact, after ten seasons, we know that probably will not happen.

But we can promise something more important: we can listen to one another, get to know one another, and make this shared community richer together.

FanaticOSOS has never belonged only to those behind the microphone. It also belongs to everyone who listens, comments, questions, shares, and returns each season.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. Thank you for being there through the good, the bad, and all those inexplicable afternoons that only the Bears can deliver.
